Privacy Policy & Data Deletion

1. Privacy Compliance (GDPR / CCPA / PDPA)

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with global privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and PDPA. We only collect essential data required to provide our AI Video Editing services.

• Data Collection: We collect your account information (OAuth login credentials) and temporary usage logs necessary for app functionality.
• User-Generated Content (UGC): Uploaded videos and generated GIFs are stored securely and are only accessible by you. We do not use your content for commercial purposes.
• Anonymization: We may retain completely anonymized, aggregated statistical data (e.g., total number of users) that cannot be linked back to any individual identity.
• Third-Party Providers: We utilize secure third-party services like Firebase as our backend infrastructure, ensuring they meet the same high privacy standards.

2. How to Delete Your Account and Data (Self-Service)

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the AI Video Editor application. Follow these exact steps:

1. Open the AI Video Editor web application and Log in to your account.
2. Click on your User Profile Icon in the top right corner of the navigation bar.
3. Click on "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
4. Scroll down to the "Account & Privacy" section.
5. Click the red "Permanently Delete Account" button.
6. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

3. What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

• Irreversible Action: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose access immediately and cannot recover the account.
• Personal Data: Your account information, OAuth login credentials, preferences, and usage logs will be permanently erased.
• User-Generated Content (UGC): All uploaded original videos, generated GIF files, and draft project files stored in our cloud will be thoroughly deleted. We do not retain copies of files saved to your local device.
• OAuth Disconnection: Your Facebook / Google account authorization with our App will be automatically revoked. You may also manually remove access via Facebook settings (Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites).

4. Data Retention & Third-Party Deletion

• Processing Time: Once you submit a deletion request, we will permanently clear all your data from our live production systems within 24 hours. Data residing in our secure encrypted backups will be completely overwritten and purged within 30 days.
• No Statutory Retention: We do not have any mandatory legal requirement to retain your data (e.g., no financial tax records for free users). All user data will be thoroughly erased.
• Third-Party Providers: We utilize Firebase as our backend infrastructure. Deleting your account triggers an automatic synchronization that permanently removes your data from Firebase-hosted services as required by privacy laws.

5. Manual Deletion Support (Fallback)

If you encounter any issues with the self-service deletion process, or if you no longer have access to your account, you can request manual data deletion by contacting our support team:

We will process your manual deletion request within 1-3 business days and send you a confirmation email once your data has been completely removed.
